Crunching noise from the driver's rear tire

Hello and thank you in advance for sharing your knowledge on this matter.
Newbie Question... Forgive me as I am learning this truck...
08 Serria 2500. 2 years ago changed the rear diff fluid and seals. Also, changed the bearings, race, and seal on the rear driver's side tire.
Now, while backing up there is what appears a "crunching" noise coming from the rear tire. When going forward the noise stops. It is not coming from the middle of the truck. Nothing appears to be rubbing on the outside of the vehicle.

Does anyone know what this could be? I would think if it was the bearing, etc it would do this in drive/ forward too?!.

Can you hear it if you jack it up off the ground and turn it by hand?

Maybe the parking brake pads?

I agree Jack it up and see if the noise continues. Maybe a ujoint, but I would bet you find something wrong with the parking brake with the rotor off.
