Wow didnt know there was so many crossfitters on here. Any of you guys doing the Crossfit Open right now? I am.
I did Crossfit Football for about 4 months gained 15 lbs but lost all of my metabolic conditioning. Switched back to Crossfit and lost 15lbs but with good lungs. CFFB is awesome though!
Crossfit isnt anything like P90X IMO. But if anyone is looking to get into some sort of programming because they don't have the drive or knowledge to get into the gym, Crossfit is for you.

Good workout challenge btw :)

I have been looking at crossfit for a while on YouTube. I wish there was a facility near me. I would definatly give it hell. I sure could stand to lose about 20 lbs!!

That's the nice thing. You don't really need much to do crossfit. If you don't want to do the workouts I posted, there's plenty on their website that don't require equipment.

Bump for more participation!:woott:

Well, against my better judgement, I decided to do wod 2 after I finished a bunch of clean&presses, chins, etc...I can't turn down a challenge.
So, 10 K2E, 20 KB Swings, 30 sit ups X5
It was going good (as good as HIIT can go, haha), I started my last set of sit ups and saw 13:08 on the stopwatch. 21 reps was all I could muster before my abdominal muscles completely cramped up and had to lay on my garage floor for 5min before getting up. I then sat on my bench while trying to breath against the abdominal pressure. I couldn't stand all the way, and even after a contrast shower I am feeling it.
Hats off to you SgtKilroy, you kicked my ass on this one. I might try your variation of "Cindy" next week.
It's time for alcohol and some calories.

Well done! Especially after your own work out! I start back on WOD1 tomorrow. I'll see what I can improve on this cycle. :D

Ok new best for WOD1 - 10:41! I guess when I quit being a panzie and take shorter breaks between sets it helps my time. :D
Where are you at guys? Any progress?

5'11" 160 Why?

Just curious, it somewhat shows what kind of wods you are better at, or do more frequently. Being that you are smaller, you do well at high rep, more endurance based wods it seems. Where as those kick my ass, haha.

Tonight I did deadlifts, then finished with a CFFB wod:
AMRAP 10min. of:
5 reps 186lbs overhead
7 pushups
9 GHD back extensions

6 rounds.

I pressed the first 2 rounds, then push jerked the rest. I liked this one, short and painful. You should give it a try.

I very well may give that a try. Probably with less weight though. It seems like an ass kicker for me. I definitely see your point. In my line of work, explosive agility and repetition is what I'm shooting for though.:thumb: That's what I love about CF though. It's adaptable to anything and anyone.

Didn't get to do wod1. I'll give it a go today. The babysitter was sick yesterday so I had to do the daddy thing and had no place at home to do my pullups.

I am going to have to give this a try. My brother-in-law is big into this and was telling me about it. I travel alot and am in different hotels all the time and not needing alot to do this is nice. I dont see my times being very good though. I got the running down pat though. I got those long legs to help being 6'3" and 180lbs.
