Let me know what you are doing with your short bed. I was looking for a step-side for my project truck and never found one in good shape. I think it would be sweet. I've seen pics of the our trucks with step-side beds and they look good.

it's been done... not my cup of tea and I can't really pinpoint why because I typically like step beds.

It'd be interesting to see. Did you ever do this? You could always poke stacks up through the steps on the side I guess.
