So putting a new connector on did not fix the problem what would cause an injector balance rate to stay at 15?
either really low compression or the injector is not squirting. injector could be mechanical such as debris preventing it from operating or electrical. if it's electrical it should pop a code

15 is the max compensation the ECM can do. if it is a negative number then the injector is probably leaking or putting in more than the ecm wants. if it's positive then the ECM is not seeing that cylinder contribute enough and is trying to add more fuel. so, since your cylinder is maxed at 15 I'd look at why it isn't getting enough fuel or power out of that cylinder(s)

Well I'm not sure either the wiring harness seems to be fines all the way through, could it be a bad FICM or FPR?

Low (or zero) compression or injector not firing (mechanical/electrical) are the two largest reasons why a balance rate will hang. Theoretically if the ECM or FICM are having issues it is possible. Step 1 would be a compression test followed by tracing/checking the electrical circuits IMO.

The balance rate is a solid 15, no fluctuation, and all the other injectors are fine you give it throttle and it clears up, no black or white smoke, the only thing I have is a test light and the connector is making it lighting up but doesn't make a difference if the connector is in or not, the only code it will give me is P1244, I was just trying to buy a reliable truck to pull my camper for work and this has turned into a nightmare.

Sounds like you need to get some better equipment like a multi-meter to check resistances while moving the harness around to see if anything changes (IE a rub point, very common on these trucks).

Okay I'll try that, so say it does fluctuate in resistance, what does it need, a new harness? I've looked really hard for chafing and don't see much other than some really dusty wires by the alternator, it was just a problem that happened out of nowhere, I'm about to see what I could get on the marketplace for it at this point.

In the event of an injector sticking open like your #8 did that you mentioned in your first post and that's the one you now how a +15 balance rate I can certainly see it happening. I'd do a compression test in that hole.
I assumed it was stuck open because the balance rate was 15 so I changed the injectors and have the same results, it just started my truck and all the sudden had this problem especially with it throwing the p1244 code, I hope it's just electrical

Just to be clear, you had the passenger side (1/3/5/7) replaced by a shop and you did the driver side (2/4/6/8) by yourself and immediately after doing an injector replacement you have the same symptom you initially had? What lead you to the diagnosis that the injector was "stuck", was it purely the balance rate?

I know you also stated you had an issue with the bale connector not seating as well, has that issue been resolved? If not that is another place to start.

If you based your diagnosis purely on the balance rate and now have the same condition that would point to issues elsewhere on the truck that need to be properly diagnosed (checking over the wiring and compression test etc). If you do not have the tools, knowledge, or time it may be in your best interest to take it to someone who does. This forum is full of knowledgeable guys but we're not the ones standing around the truck. When people ask questions to help you it's purely to get information in order to provide a better response. The old saying of "help us help you" comes to mind. We're here to help but also don't waste anyone's time.

have you checked the harness right at the alternator bracket for rub through? known issue. typical to cut the zip ties to relieve the tension on the harness, then put a piece of rubber tubing over the harness that rubs on the bracket

Yes it was purely the balance rate and the fact the injectors were original at those miles that made me think it was stuck open, and after replacing them still have exact same results, yes the bale connector is seating all the way and truck starts now.

negative (ie: -15) numbers would be injector stuck open often times with unburnt fuel coming out the exhaust too.

positive (ie: 15) sometimes written with the "+" preceding the number, is low fuel or lack of power on that cylinder. very low compression or no fuel

please be clear when posting the balance rates to avoid confusion

told him to check that earlier today and we are still waiting for a response on it
Finally checked and all the wires just look really dusty and worn but don't look like it would cause a short at least doesn't look like anything is too chafed, I have power at the connector, gonna use a multimeter to check how much power its getting.

Finally fixed the issue, I ended up replacing the injector connector in a way that I was sure was the same as the original, and at the same time I noticed a wire with a pin, that came loose out of the bale connector and I put it back in and boom it ran like normal and balance rates look great, not sure if the new injector connector had much to do with it or not but glad its running again, thank you everyone who took the time to reply.
