Wondering how common it is for some of you competition guys to crack lbz/lmm bodies. Pretty sure my brand new lmm body's with 5 hooks cracked the #4 stick lastnight.

Good balance rates. High pressure inlet fitting ain't leaking, nor is the return tee. But soon as I start it fuel dumps out somewhere between the holddown and valve cover. Only thing I can think of is a cracked body.

I had an lly do that to me one time. Came in with a fuel leak at #6 injector after tuning it and installing a fprv shim. We thought for sure it had cracked a body bc it wasn't out of the inlet and return looked dry. Leak looked like it was below the solenoid so I pulled it and we put it on the test stand. Then we couldn't make it leak. Only other thing we knew to try was a return T on that injector when I put it back in. Damned if that didn't fix it. Even though the old T looked fine and it did not at all look like it was the culprit.

Yeah I guess that can't hurt. Idiot proof way of checking! I'm doubtful, but I wish there would be a way to get some type of help from the company I got them from/ or exergy direct

Several now. Theres a little relief port with a check ball in the upper part of the body below the solenoid and it blows out under high pressure spike conditions.

I don't recommend this at all but my customer decided to weld the ports shut. I am 100% sure it is fixed through tuning, since we made some changes to my own truck after cracking a body a couple years ago. I think you even chimed in on my old thread here. We discussed rescaling the rail pressure sensor and instead of commanding 180 mpa we commanded 178mpa and opened the injectors up wide open past 180 mpa to relieve pressure on a spike.

Yeah I'd really like to buy one of those sensors to read higher then 29k. I don't have a relief valve so who knows how high it spikes. Your thinking it would just need a new check ball/something like that, verus awhole new body atleast? I'm not gonna weld that, i weld alot of stuff to "fix" it lol but not these

the first time the balls blew out, he sent them back to have checked out and they replaced them. then the first trip out to take a log they blew out again. Their theory was that the bodies stretched a little. Not sure how much I believe that, but I'm not a Bosch tech.

The first go around the two injectors that failed were sent to Exergy to be inspected. They replaced the check balls and welded them in and suggested sending them to MFE for the new nozzle because one was junk. I've already talked with the tuner about the tuning and he saw no reason for it to be happening and needed a log which we haven't been able to get.

I wasn't told about them being sent to Exergy, lol, he told me he welded them. I also understand not every truck has this issue with pressure spikes, because as was said in my old thread, lots and lots of people have been running 180mpa commanded and haven't rescaled their sensor and haven't had issues. However, it worked on my truck, so we know it at least works.
