Ok so I started this thread with my lb7 and now have the same problem with my lbz. I'm guessing just taking off the a/c comp, alternator, and y bridge then I can access the bolts on the injection pump. Are there two bolts on the front of the engine that hold the cp3 or are there more than two bolts?

What's this trick about removing the injection pump from the cp3 with torx bolts?

duramax cp3

I've replace multiple of the cp3's on lly and lbz's both deleted and with egr. deleted you can usually do them in no more than 7 hours. That's taking the fan and shroud off, leave the alternator on the bracket and remove it as one piece couple small bolts on the top, bottom, and side. believe it or not a stock y-bridge is slightly easier to install you can leave on nut slightly started on the bottom back passenger side when installing y-bridge. That doesnt apply if you are installing a worley or HSP fab y-bridge. Then its pretty easy just use a 1/4 dr. 10mm wobble and electric tape to hold the nut to the socket to install the back driver side y-bridge bolt. Dont be suprised if you install a dynomite or Industrial cp3 if the feed line to the rail does not want to match up youll have to bend and play with it sometimes. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REMOVE TURBO
