Hey fellas, so I finally got my truck back together after doing the cp3. Before I buttoned everything up, I thought it would be wise to do a quick return flow check. Pulled the return line from the top of the new pump, cranked for 15 seconds, and sure enough, free flowing fuel. I finished reassembly for a test run and as soon as I got to about 50mph... It throws the 1093 code. It also is throwing 0238 which is "boost pressure sensor high input". I just replaced this sensor since I broke it off removing my cp3. The old one was completely full of soot.... All my injectors returned less than 2 ml of fuel after 1t seconds of cranking, so the excess return fuel is coming from the cp3?... Fresh reman pumps typically fail? Could there be another culprit? PLEASE HELP

Got the pump from dieselstore.com. I did replace the fprv with a ppe race plug. Also did filter and housing assembly and the rubber lines between filter housing and cp3. Still pulling the 1093 code. I cannot command pressures with my scanner... Advice on an affordable scan tool that will do this? Thank you

Cp3 will return "some" fuel always. you can also disconnect the FPR and max out rail that way, if you have a laptop and can install Auto Enginuity on it. its a decent scanner for the price, with it you can watch desired Vs actual rail pressure. there was one other member on here that got a faulty CP3 out of the box on here awhile back.

There is a Bosch obd II scan tool available at the parts store fairly cheap. Will this allow me to command pressures? Also, if I unplug the fpr at idle it will max out the rail pressure? So I could check for excessive injector return at max pressure? Still not sure if this is necessary, but it has been recommended a number of times as an enhanced test to determine if they're failing at high pressure. Hopefully will be able to get a warranty replacement for the pump I just installed...
