Good and bad news.

Bad news- The pump seized up which froze the shaft while the gear was trying to still rotate. This caused the nut to tighten itself further down the shaft until the shaft sheared in half at the tapered edge. The gear was under so much pressure that it mushroomed out on the backside squishing against the pump seal. Wish I had a picture of the carnage. Not sure what made the pump seize up.

Good news- John @ Floor It is backing the pump. No cost to me! Thank god. Big thanks to Dustin for fixing my truck in three days unscheduled!!!! He swapped out the pump with a Floor It stage III since that was the only thing on the shelf and I have to have my truck back asap. I'll pay the difference + labor. Not too bad. A little more fuel can't hurt anyway :D

Those stage III pumps are nice. I've seen one hold 26k on an LB7 with 80% injectors and 2800 uS pulse width.

Picked up the truck tonight drove 70 mi home. No issues whatsoever. Didn't have to chance to get down on it from all the rain but it felt strong. Dustin said that rail pressure shouldn't be a problem anymore :D

With the stage II & 45% injectors around 2400 uS pw it was holding 25-26k @ WOT. At least I'll have plenty of fuel to play with when I build it....
