What causes the truck to make the " RUNG RUNG RUNG" sound when you are coming to a stop? It does for about 2-3 seconds and then clears up. I have a fuel filter that I can put in also, I just put some power service in at last fill up hoping that it would clear it up. I have about 30 miles with the power service in this tank and it still does it. The filter had about 11000-12000 miles on it I changed it and it still does it, then tried the Walmart 2 stroke oil thing and I still get it.

What could it be?

Please help DIESEL GODS

someone just informed me that 2 stroke can actually hurt you and not to do it... something about scorching the injectors and pistons.

as far as the noise, what level is your ht on?? does it stay there all the time?? you might try resetting to stock to see if it goes away.... i know my truck does some funy things with the programmer in it. when i return it to stock they seem to go away....

just a thought.

I have been running 2 stroke oil for over 40K miles, IMHO it is a benefit, but I only have that view from experience in my own trucks.

;)

Mine does it on the hot PPE tune, but i always attributed it to using the LBZ CP3 on my LLY for the second CP3.

Log rail psi if you can, you will find that when you get out of the throttle the fuel demand drops to alost nothing, the fuel pressure also has to drop to about 4900-5300 PSI.

The noise is the rail psi dropping quickly to idle pressure.

Anyone else have a opinion on running 2 cycle oil in their tank? I also have power service (gray bottle) and FPPF Fuel power. I have not tried the FPPF but have tried the POwer service with same results:(

I run low ash 2 cycle oil (about 1 ounce per gallon of diesel) and Power Service at every fill up. I like the added lubricity in the ULSD crap that we have to use.

Actually Tony, In my case it does it From acceleration as well, as soon as the tps changes it does it , and it does it constantly if your just idling around in 2nd or third gear. Give it a bit of fuel and it doesnt do it till you let off.

do you notice that it happens right at around 1-2 mph?

Does it mostly when pulling up to stop light or while idling at that speed through a parking lot.

I pulled the blocker plate and pcv reroute this morning to see if anything changes? If not, I will remove tuner and take to dealer to see if it is the FPRV or maybe a reflash?

Did it do it before the fingerstick and egr bocker ???

Wondering if the egr blocked may be part of the problem ???

I have had the blocker plate and fingerstick in for 3 years now and the reroute for 1 year, I started noticing this problem about 3-4 month ago.
