I know, I know, I know..... It's HPTuners, not EFI Live. But HPT is what I own, so here we are. :D

I'd really appreciate it if you guys could verify for me that this tune file is a STOCK tune. I just read the PCM on my 2001 LB7(recent purchase, unknown history), and compared it to 3 tunes from the repository. There are some differences, mostly transmission tables, and then a few others that don't seem to be very much of anything at all.

I don't know if this truck is already tuned. I suspect that it isn't, no black smoke at WOT either, but I don't want to start following the tutorials and "tune" and already tuned PCM, then smoke my stock transmission.

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Nevermind. HPT files are apparently not supported by this website. I know that a few of you guys on here use HPT. If somebody is willing to look at this for me, post up or PM me your e-mail addy and I'll send you the file. Again, thanks inadvance.

Thats stock fuel. I have 17 for high(A), 9 medium(B), and 8 on low(C). On a stock lb7.

I would say that is a stock tuna :)

Okay, good deal then.

So I've read that the 2002 OS is better to start with. Does that mean I'd be best off to find a 2002 stock file, do a WRITE ENTIRE onto my PCM and TCM, then start tuning away?

Ive heard of people swapping to a 2002 OS to solve problems like dead pedal. My tuner and me talked about and he said it wouldnt be that beneficial to swap OS.

I've decided that I want switchable power levels. HPTuners still does not have this option available. Rather than having to load/flash different tunes for different driving (DD, heavy towing, light towing, etc) I'll be going with a CTS, and using it to switch 5 EFI tunes. Now I need to choose a tuner. Decisions, decisions...

I'd probably go thru Steve if I were you. He is having some good sales right now iirc.

I use "Idaho Rob" tunes thru adreanaline truck performance, and you can't go wrong there either.
