Copying Tunes

So know i have EFI and i want to copy some PPE tunes. How would i go about doing this? Would i do it the same way i copied my stock tune or is there more invloved?

If the PPE tune is loaded into the ecm, do a read with EFILive and once complete save it as PPE tune.

So load the tune go to Read Calibration Data from PCM go throught the 2 minute process and the 15 second key off cycle then save as PPE tune (Or whatever i name it) Same process as what i did last night when i sent my stock tune to Rob?

correct me if I'm wrong, but you need to save both the ECM and TCM tune files with each PPE tune that you load on the truck.

Why would you have to copy the TCM files? I dont know much about this stuff i am just starting out.

I don't think you have to. I'm pretty sure PPE only modify the ECM, not the TCM to.

Ok good cause i dont know how to copy the TCM files yet. But just so i have it right its the same way i copied my stock tune? If so it should be pretty easy

Yes just load into ecm and copy and save. You will see a copyright warning each time you pull it up though. It would still work if loaded unto a truck and ran. As far as I know PPE doesn't program the trans parameters. A lot of shifts characteristics are contolled by the torque tables in the ECM.

I have a friend that is selling his PPE hot+2 and i convinced him to let me copy the tunes before he sells it. Right now i am waiting on my tunes from Rob and i am running stock i want a tune i can run until i take it in to get the trans built. The stock LB7 is a gutless pig

Nope Robs tunes are staying with me! Plus its just a low hp tune until i get my other ones i dont think its that big of a deal to use one of their tunes for a week.
