FNG needs some information from the true experts. Situation: While driving lost the serpentine belt, belt was not broke, idler pulley bolt backed out and the pulley fell into the cooling fan breaking one of the blades. The part number for the fan is listed as 15010202 in the service manual. However, this seems to be for blade replacement only. The fan I have is one piece molded plastic, no way to replace just one of the nine blades. Does anyone have information on part numbers or where I can get a replacement fan. I have tried all local auto parts stores and as many parts websites as possible and all the ones I have seen only sell the single blades? Some advertise it as a unit but when I questioned them it always came back to blade only? Is the one I have on there even OEM? I did have what I consider major repairs done on the truck about 1.5 years ago, is it possible the dealership installed a different one? Anyway, just looking at replacing it if I can find one. I am the original owner of the truck, 2002 Sierra 2500HD 4x4 LB7.

Are you sure it isn't all the blades as an assembly that you bolt onto the fan clutch?

Yes, indeed, that is exaclty what it is, I explained that to 4 seperate people on the phone and believe it or not they all told me it was for only one of the blades out of the required 9, not the whole assembly. I could not have been more clear with them. Believe me, with the day I have had it would not surprise me if I spoke to the 4 newest people in the world auto parts industry and since I have never even seen a fan with removable blades like that, I was suspect but after the 4 conversations I started to really question things, hence this post. Thanks for the response, just solidifies my thinking. I'll just order it and stop asking questions. Maybe I was confusing them? But...

I have discovered that you have to take anything most parts counter guys say with a grain of salt. Gone are the days of a real parts guy. They are few and far between.

Thanks to all. Looking back I think the term "blade" was throwing them off. Already ordered and now having a laugh about the whole thing...
