coolant temp

Im getting two different readings in coolant temp. The console gauge will read about 180 im guessing and my edge shows it only getting up to about 150. I also got a code something about coolant temp to low. Anybody ever seen this before?

I haven't seen this code before and I haven't used a edge programmer either. If it reads the information via the obd2 port I would trust that before the gauge within the dash. Can you provide the exact code that showed up?

no i cleared it and i cant remember what number it was ive had too many beers since then

I got the P0128 - coolant not coming up to temperature.
Could be a sensor, but . . . probably low coolant or bad t-stats.
For me, it was the thermostats. Easy fix.

The reg cab my brother just bought was throwing the same code, his had an air pocket in the cooling system... It has a head gasket problem
