I've had an issue with coolant loss through the exhaust. Last April I had the heads resurfaced, pressure tested, injector sleeves sealed and of course new head gaskets. In a little time it started again and got really bad as of recent when I tore it apart. I resealed the injector sleeves and pressure tested the cooling system and its still pushing coolant into cylinder #1 & 7. It also appears to be leaking on the outside where the head meets the block by #7. I only have 10K mi. on the new gaskets. All parts were GM and the engine is stock with 280K mi. on it. Kind of dumb founded at this point. Is there a way to confirm whether its the sleeves or the head gasket before I take the head back off. Obviously its not supposed to be leaking on the outside so thats a red flag there, but, I'm getting frustrated with this thing. Any info would be much appreciated.

My 03 leak coolant out between the block and head also. I would say the head gasket is bad. Might be a high spot on the block if you had heads resurface already. Take the head off and look at the gasket for any shiny spots on it. I would think if its the cups your antifreeze would turn blackish from the exhaust going into it

I kind of figured the head was going to have to come off, but I guess I was looking for a magic solution or something I missed. Thanks for the tip to check for a shinny spot on the gasket I wouldnt have thought of that. Im almost in disbelief the gasket is leaking already and trying to figure out if I did something wrong or if something stupid happened. Looks like I'll be busy next week tearing down. Thanks for the input.
