Has any one figured out how to do a unlock switch yet for sled pulling. I know brayden has the ally locker but i dont need anything that fancy or expensive. All I need is to be able to unlock the converter at the end of the track without losing reverse.

I understand that the converter has to be applied with PWM but it shouldnt need to be unlocked right? I have zero issues with lockup but need the converter unlocked to hold 4th gear and since the ally will never manually downshift to 3rd when its supposed to I dont have another option.

Anyone got any ideas?

I have one on my truck but I didn't install it as it came this way. I'll find out how it works without losing reverse as I thought I was told it won't as long as the co-pilot is on but will make sure.

I don't know the answer. I am moving my turbobrake over out of my 05 to the puller so I can put a switch on it.

To answer your other post about the S400, yes I plan on an unlock switch.

LOL most guys are having trouble getting the converters to lock!!

I would think interrupting the PWM signal would cause it to unlock but I'm sure you would get some codes and maybe some other weird side effects. Mike L. or Brayden may know.

Don't laugh, I made a sketch using paint. I think this would work using a DPDT switch

You can run a ground wire and it works but when you flip it you will loose reverse and will have to clear the code before you can unhook from the sled.

It would be nice to have a 3 way switch. Position 1 would be converter lock, 2 would be stock, and 3 would be unlock.

Yep thats it, I cut it just out of the tcm, run it to the dash to a on/off switch, and back to the wire. It works good, it will unlock it I always make sure the truck is in a non comanded lock situation befor i switch the circuit closed after unlocking to avoid a non PW lock!

This is in no way intended to be considered a lock up switch!

Ben, I see you lurking... Your good at this kind of stuff, now that your a vendor, how about you build us a simple lock/unlock switch thingy, without all the limping issues.
