I know others have posted and I know I posted back in the spring about what converter to run.

Well it never got done then, but now the time has come.

So heres what the setup will be.

A5K, Duel Fuelers, and of course studs and rods to hold everything together.

With a charger like that which converter should I run.

I was going to run a 1054 but that was If I stayed with the stock charger.

Now the A5K isnt a done deal, but there is a very good chance it will get done.

Im thinking I need a looser converter to spool the big charger.

My dilema is that I dont know if Ill still have a stock charger for next season or an A5K and I really dont wanna have to purchase another converter.

So mike. Should I just get a good converter for the A5K and run it anyways??

The trans has to get done so Im kind of in a pinch.

Thanks.

If you are going to go with SC I say 1056. ATS is very inconsistant so I can;t tell you which of theirs to use. Precision would be a geat option and I recommend the ML which I had built for Pat and has proved to be an outstanding choice for your application. Call me in the morning and we can discuss your truck.:D

Like Mike said, very incosistant convertors.

Ive heard the 5 stars are kind of hit and miss.

I was going to add An ATS flex plate and Co-Pilot down the road. But I overheard mike say something in another thread about not using non ATS converters on their flex plate. If I want to spin more RPMs I will need one though due to regulations of our pulling sanctioning body.

Mike.. Ill see If I can call you yet today. I have no problem running a precision converter, as long as the guy I am purchasing the trans from can get it. No offense to you or any other Suncoast salesman, but I HAVE to buy it through him so that my sponsor can write it off.

He is a dealer for Premier performance products so I dont think he sells precision converters. Ill see what I can do though.

Well discuss the rest over the phone.

Im going with a 1055 guys.

After an interesting convo with mike the other day. I had bad reception and was doped up on benadryl. Took me awhile to figure out what I was trying to say.
