Converter question

It feels like the motor is making the power but the drivers isn't planting it. Unless I turn tow haul on then its intermittent kicks in and out. I was told the trans has gmax 5 in it but haven't verified that.
Why does it feel like its slipping when its off. It doesn't feel like a trans slip it just feels like something isn't grabbing all the way.
What are you running? Sorry I'm on my phone and it does show sigs (anyone know why?) .
Know how a converter works? It naturally has slip.
Could be a bad tc if your trans is really built. Stock tc? Bring it to an Allison builder to check.

I know they do slip under certain rpms until centrifugal force pushes fluid out. But sometimes when I go wot or half throttle for that matter it doesn't take off like it did once before. Unless I lock the tcc like tow haul. I will go snap a picture of my converter and post it.
Is this an aftermarket converter? I think I remember someone asked on here and it turned out to be precision

Why does it seem like something isn't grabbing? It threw codes a few months back but I had them erased. Does efi live block codes from coming up? Its only thrown a light once and that was when I swapped my turbo and it was tranny codes and I didn't mess with the trans when i did the swap one was speed sensor I believe its been too long now for me to remember.
I do know there is a wire running into one of my fuses that if I unplug the wire it limps my trans. Defaults to 2nd.

Sometimes a converter can get looser over time, due to high horsepower. Can change geometry on turbine/pump fins. My old 1057 did this, stall speed went up and fuild coupling went down (efficiency), felt awful engine would blow right thru converter.
I'm no converter expert either! But it may be time for a refresh/repair.

No its went to half once but thats it. I have never messed with the trans accept change the spin on filter every time I change fuel filter.
It acts exactly like said it seems the engine blows threw the torque converter. What would a refresh of the trans cost me if i pulled and sent it to Mike or some other Allison genius? It may be time for that before I start adding anymore mods.
Also can my converter be rebuilt or does it have to be replaced?
Pm one of them. Depends what you want out of the converter. Sometimes it's better to just replace. It also depends on the condition of the transmission inside and what you want the end product to be. Should find someone close. Shipping a trans isn't cheap.

Do you have any local shops you trust that you could bring the truck to for some diagnostics? It wouldn't take someone familiar with these trucks and a proper scan tool long to figure out your issue.
Fleece and sheid. sheid is 10 minutes from me and fleece is about 45 minutes.
Plans for the truck would be about 700 hp DD. I have got a ways to go but thats what I'm shooting for.
