Thanks for the offer Dale. I know I couldn't wait till May.... Wow that's a long time. Heck I may forget what power is like if I have to drive my wife's Envoy till then. I have every bit of confidence in the folks at ATS, I believe I will be back in my truck quite quickly. I was reassured I would be taken care of regarding the warranty.
Big thanks to ya Dale!

Got a call from Wade today, he said he had only seen that type of failure once before. He said the stator split in half of something and has one heck of a wall ornament to look at. Not sure what that means? I have seen torque converter stators, but can't picture what he meant by the type of failure. Mike L., got any ideas?
On a side note, they sent me another converter. No problems with the warranty.
That kind of failure happens all the time.
with ATS torque converters or just torque converters in general??? why??
Some people ( who we won't name ) have been known to sit there under boost for 10 minutes.
I'd like to know why as well. More importantly.
1. They know you have a modded truck w/ a big charger.
2. You are no pansie driver.
3. You tune the truck hard.
4. The trans was just rebuilt? I think.
THEY STOOD BEHIND IT!!
They didn't cop out blaming it on the mods, driving habits or anything else.
Rock on ATS. That's taking care of the little guy that pays full pop for the parts.
