Did you balance it with the stock balancer? I broke a crank a couple years ago with a fluidampr on it. I tought it was the culprit ??

I balanced it with the fluidampr on it, I agree with you I think those dampr aren't not worth having on a big HP engine, I'm still investigating, I started pulling my engine just doing a few hours here and there, I should have it on the stand sunday, I'll take pics and post it, hopefully we can find out what happen and educate someone else so they don't have this problem,

I'm no expert, but re-line boring the journals sfter the ARP Main Studs would be something very important in my mind. A friend of mine is going through a re build right now, and the machinist he's using checked tolerances after installing ARP Mains and said the tolerances were to tight and needed re lined.

Good luck with it!

Hey I can flow and balance those injectors for you and I'm in Kentucky. I have a Hartridge CRI 4 test stand that can run any pressure or pulse width. We do 6 test, we 1st pressurize the body looking for leaks, then we run them to get all of the air out of the injector, then we do an idle run looking for drips and balance, then mid load, then a full wide open run, then lastly while the injector is then really warm we check the return flow while not actuating the solenoid looking at static backleak flow. Industrial Injection has a Robotti test stand. The Hartridge CRI 4 is the best common rail test equipment out to date as of now. Bosch is supposed to release their test stands sometime next year. (We have 2 on order). We build lots of perfromance injectors and test them daily. I'm not trying to bash industrial injection but I have ran their injectors on my test stand and were not impressed. They SOMETIMES, BUT NOT ALWAYS will use a knock off nozzle from Italy that is not a genuine Bosch. I'm not trying to start anything with Industrial Injection but I can help you out on the inejctor part. :)

Let me know

well I pulled the motor today, I do my own work, so far I've spent no money just about 10 hrs. time, I'm going to post a thread about my findings which I would like to get some opinions about why the crank broke, if that is indeed what happened I'm 99% sure it is,

The most common problem for breaking a crankshaft is from the injection pump gear breaking or coming loose and falling down and binding up the cam and crank gears. Is it broken in the first journal??????

That's interesting, I've seen and heard about quite a few broken cranks and never seen anyone mention this. Not saying it isn't true, it would certainly cause a broken crank, just haven't heard it.
