Well went took it for a long drive last night and it ran fine but when I got where I was going it had a lot of pressure in the system. I poped the cap and let it out and it never built up any again on the way home. Took it out for a short run today and it seems Like at wot it breaks up a little :(

Have you put a gauge on the system to see how much pressure its building?

head gaskets

Hi sorry to hear about the truck. My 04 LLy went at around 190000km. If your truck is blowing antifreeze out the over flow and hoses are hard it probably is the head gasket. Watch for white smoke coming out of exhaust as anti freeze drains into cylinder walls. When mine finally went I had no heat and it smoked like a bugger. The cost of repair is not cheap mine cost 6500 be sure that when they do it to upgrade head bolts. Personally I thyink a class action suit should be launched as chevy knew they were having problems with the 04 to mid 06 gaskets.

I have an early 06 and never had a head gasket problem.

It was actually the 01-02 gaskets that were "bad" so they redesigned them. I have never, in my area, heard of headgaskets really being an issue either way. My tech friend has only done 6 trucks in 10 yrs...not bad...

anyone know of a good budget borescope that you can actually see clear images with?

also, if anyone could direct me to a good injector removal writeup that would be great. thanks

I have a provision PV2636-21 which has a very good field of view (some pixelation, but very usable), has built in illuminator and can see at 90 degrees using the mirror attachment. It it very flexible, but also has a threaded rigid shell you can add when needed to hold a bent shape. Works great for scoping cylinders or intake runners to check carbon buildup. Whatever you get, make sure it is thin enough to slip down a glow plug hole as many of the cheaper ones won't (Harbor Freight, etc).

Here's the full lineup:

Most of them range anywhere from $125-$350 depending on what your needs are.
