Just had this happen myself. With one well named tuner I had a injector at 9. Switched to Tony and it went down to 1.

I'm not arguing, I agree. I had a similar instance, mine were all over the place. I don't see how in the world you can fix it with a tune, but I does work.

You could still be leaking slightly at an uppipe flange. it happens.

Really like Busted's shop vac idea. Ingenious. You've got to describe the amp-clamp compression test, though.

2stroke doesnt "cure" a bad injector, it just helps give you more time. I think you've got one on the way out is all.
You put an amp clamp around the starter wire and use a graphing meter and crank the engine with the fuel disabled and watch the amp pattern. The weaker cylinder causes less load on the starter and the amps won't be as high on that cylinder. If they are all smooth you're good, if you have one low you pull the easiest to get to glow plug and use the firing order to figure out which one is the weak one.

There must have been a problem with his tuning then.

There was many issues with his tuning. To the point where I said screw it and went to Tony. Best move I have ever made. Its a nice feeling having a tuner spend time getting your tunes dialed in a timely matter.

The 2 stroke oil was used based on the suggestion that it could be a stuck injector, and it seemed to work for a while.

So Harbin, you think the compression check wouldn't tell me anything since yours checked fine until failure?

Ne-max, i am running the same tune as i was then, would it still change it?

Is cylinder #7 the driver side rear cylinder?

It might show you something, but just because it comes out with good numbers, doesn't always mean there is nothing wrong
