Yep lbz rods i didnt make to much hp imo but i did hit 1373 tq which may have been the rods undoing. It may be a cup still or headgasket but im just not seeing as much pressure in the cooling system as i should for losing 50-70psi

Also would you guys reuse a crank that's got 245k? It was balanced 4xk miles ago just debating on if i need some other parts

With the blown gaskets that I have changed out there was zero pressure in the coolant. There outside coating had deteriorated and caused the leaking until heat got into the engine and helped it seal off.

Wonder if i could get the truck warm then try and do a test again? That would say something bout a similar gasket situation would it not

Probably would help rule that out. When cold it would show compression down about 80-100 lbs.

If it ain't broke don't fix it! A new one probably has as much chance breaking. If it checks out within specs I would use it again but have it checked.
