Im not a Duramax twin expert but it seems like a 66/80 is on the small side for 1000hp. It would be hot as hell if you managed to get it.:confused:

Here's the new 72mm wheel. Quite interested to see how it compares in spool up to the cast 72mm wheel. I'm going to take them to work tonight and weigh them and see the difference. I've never ran an 11 blade wheel either.

So i said screw it and put the new 72mm wheel on and had it balanced. Holy cow this turbo is badass now. Spoolup is night and day better with this billet 11 blade 72mm wheel. Absolutely love this turbo. I still have the 1.0 housing on it too. I can't even imagine how fast it will spool with the .90 turbine housing on there.

This 11 blade wheel has a sound of its own. Really high pitched and then at 30 psi it goes silent, literaly. Half tempted to leave the 1.0 housing on and call it a day. I could barely get the 80 to light trying to stage, now the boost comes right up no problem with the 72. Im really liking how the 11 blade wheel comes into and makes boost. I love this turbo!

Burn!!!:roflmao::roflmao:
Just having some fun.:thumb:

Who's or where did you get that 11 blade wheel from?
I'd say it looks like a KTS wheel but most all straight blade billet wheels look the same in a picture, haha.

Yellowchevy

I ordered it from MIC turbo. But it is made by KTS.
