How hot does everything get being that close together?

What do you mean? EGT's? Under Hood Temps? With everything being that close its all isolated. Your heat is better contained charger to charger on the hot side, which allows for better response of the low pressure. Plus you’re not running 3' of "hot" piping across the engine bay to raise temps under the hood. It’s literally two chargers with the same under hood characteristics as one, and the EGT management of two.

Sorry, I was asking about under hood temps, I guess someone could get a cowl hood to let some of the heat out since it's right there, should work well..what are you seeing for EGTs? I just think this is a really cool setup, I would love to see more pics of it like where the dp goes and how much room between the firewall and uppipe. hope you all can get some info and kits going:D

Any update on this?

Not really, just been working the truck like the poor old work truck it is. I've moved a lot of hay with it. 300 bales at a time, and haven't had a lick of issue. Its got the power, but you can certainly tell its a big set of turbos when its loaded trying to come out of a dig,(1800 RPM) its gotta have RPM or some heat to come up and out of it. Its too easy just to downshift and hang on! :D EGT's on Tune 4 with 20K# in tow don't peak over 1200*!! I want to get our initial dyno runs done, then upgrade the low pressure compressor to a Billet 6 blade designed for low pressure applications. It should pick up some torque and response.

The truck has stock injectors, stock CP3, stock head bolts... Just a built tranny, turbos, and tune.

We have not got any further on production, or R&D, things will have to slow down around here so that we can move forward.

Here's a pic from the weekend.

Just keeping tabs on progress but it's still looking good! One question though on hooking on a load, do you still have a good turbo brake like a stock twin setup would have? Also you mentioned having to get some RPMs or heat to get moving what's it like to get that 20k rolling vs stock towing? Keep up the good work guys this is one interesting setup

Turbo brake is only available on vgt turbos. Both turbos are fixed geometry so you wouldn't have the turbo brake option.

Its been answered in the thread already, but the turbos are both fixed geometry, so no turbine braking.

As far as getting to speed, its no different than stock. I don't crowd it until I get 2nd with lock up. (To much drivetrain stress) Then roll into it and click thru the gears. By then its far better than stock. The only downside is that they are A; Big, B; pushed with stock fuel, and C; run so cool that once I settle into a cruise, I have to downshift or feather into them to get some heat built to get the chargers to snap, if Im loaded. Grossing 30K Cruising in 5th at 65 flat ground, I run between 8 & 900*. Max EGTs crawling out of southern Indiana (65 miles of up down curvy winding roads) I still couldn't crack 1200* on a 75* day grossing 30K. (Farmall 1066 or 14K, 50 Bales of green hay +-1500#s, 32' tandem dual gooseneck 8K, truck 7K) In that scenario, I was typically down a gear, and already had RPM and good heat so it was actually a blast to drive. Just snapped right thru corners and up the grades.

A set of 75% over injectors and a stroker pump will make all the difference for the "short comings" if you want to call them that.
