anybody have any experience with the co pilot? I have an 06 LBZ with the Suncoast GMax6 w/1056 in it and burned up some clutches on the dyno. might not have given it enough learn time 1'st? made 4 progressive launches up to 5'th gear out on the highway b4 we hit the dyno. told Mass Diesel operators to keep it in tow/haul. dunno if when they restarted truck if they did so or not? made earlier launches in T/H mode. once I repair trans, leaning towards adding copilot. "learning" is a pain in the ass, its my driver. this is a "stand alone" tcm, which eliminates the whole learning horseshit, correct?

This is not the first Gmax kit ive seen burn up.......

Im guessing C3's were warped/cupped/dished and discolored.

you dont need a co-pilot. The co-pilot is NOT a standalone TCM. As I understand it, It [was] ATS's way of increasing pressures without using the transgo kit. It also incorporates a TCC controller.

Basically...no...a co-pilot will not stop this [failure] from happening again.

How many miles on the trans? Who built it? What were the clearances? What pressures was the trans running? Did it have the transgo converter flow valve?

You need to be careful mixing and matching components from different trans places.

I do not know about the GMax6, but with my GMax5 you either don't drill the back plate, and run a copilot, or drill the back plate and don't run a copilot.

I'd save the $$ on the copilot and find a builder to make you a stronger transmission.
