Wonder how many passes they can expect from them aluminum Rods :dontknow:
I’ve always wondered how long it would be before someone did that because nitro motors have been using them forever

Aluminum rods have been out for a few years now. Reason I think you never hear about them is because they aren't economically feasable to run considering their life expectancy so there's only a handful of sets out there.

Those motors look cool and sound cool, but what have they ever done? I know Wagler had one in their UCC truck, but I don't think they were able to make a good pass at the track with it.

If they can't get it to the ground it doesn't matter if they have 5000hp. I sure am hoping they do get it lined out though .

Didn't that set-up have the turbos too? I think since they yanked those off and just run the blower its been a bit "better"

I believe Jeremy has sled pulled his with more success than he has drag raced it. It'll be interesting to see if this new car does something on the race track.

I known the blown smoke guys posted on facebook a month or so ago that they were stopping there program since they couldn't get the engine to perform as expected. They said they were going back to the drawing board with it. That's why I was surprised to see this roll out running a similiar engine setup.

The engine setup isn't really similar is it? Blown Smoke is a hemi-based top fuel type engine basically converted to run on diesel isn't it?

The blowers may be the same/similar?

They said in one of the articles it's waglers 500 cu in design in it which is what they had in blown smoke if I'm not mistaken.

Jeremy gave Caleb Baker and I a look at this coupe a month ago and I mentioned the blown smoke project. He mentioned their problems had something to do with trying to burn diesel in the combustion chamber of the gasser hemi heads, which is not what Wagler is doing.

This new dx500L is a lightweight version of he original dx500 that kusilek and the 'shoptruck' have in them.
