Used MiGuiars ( SP?) With good results.

I've used Mother's clay bar before, not on this truck though. When I asked the body shop about clay barring, they recommended the truck be buffed immediately afterwards. They said it will undoubtedly scratch the clear...but thats on black.
I'm gonna do mine next week while its in the body shop...kill two birds with one stone.

make sure to clean the car good to avoid as much scratching. I wash with dawn dish soap, clay bar, polish and finally apply a coat of wax.
Meguirs all the way, used it on my wifes car with the spray to take out a paint scuff an a few scratches!
I have used this http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/product_detail.asp?T1=MEG+G1016 Very pleased. I highly reccomend you do not use water or dish soap instead of the provide detailing spray. Water and dish are not lubericates. So you cause more scratchs then if you the correct product. The detailing spray does not evaporate off either so it make things easier.

I use the clay while I am washing the vehicle. Wash mit in one hand, clay in the other. Gotta keep it nice and lubed for it to work and not leave clay streaks.
I used the Meguiar's smooth surface clay kit after Johnbboy recommended it. I do agree with him and the kit does leave a very smooth surace.

I have used the Mothers kit on my truck, and it worked pretty well. I used the detailing spray that came with it. My truck is white by the way.
X2 I use Poorboys Clay but thats just because I use there waxes. Soapy water will break down some clays like Mothers after a bit of use. Poorboys has a product called Spray and Wipe that I use as lube that is like soap, but work and cleans really good. If you have lots of grime on the paint after you clay wash your truck again.

I've always used the mothers clay bar on my black truck with good results. Never even considered using anything other than the instant detailer spray that comes with the kit. Seems to make the paint a lot smoother and shiny after. I always wax after too, I've heard the paint is more vulnerable if you don't wax after clay barring.
All three trucks I have ever owned were black and I used Mothers on all three. Never had problems with scratches. However, to keep that for happening you have to make sure you wash the vehicle surface very well. The clay bar is only to be used to get the small stuff that won't come off during the wash. I also use Liquid Glass after the clay bar and I must say black has never looked better!
I use Auto Magic clay with their lubricant spray.

They have a blue and a red colored bar.
The blue is for paint that needs a standard once a year regular clay treatment.
The red is a step up for paint that needs more attention that is in worse shape.
For example the red will take off paint overspray with a lot less effort.

Holy... I am pretty sure I've only washed my truck 3 times since february... and I did terrible jobs of it.
