Ski right up to the bar:D

Kicking Horse Resort in Golden BC gets my vote. Google it up (kicking horse ski resort)

Highest vertical, one of the highest snowfalls and awesome back country skiing. My favorite is the golf bowl. You can rack out off 30 foot cliffs, roll a couple hundred feet and fire back up on the board and keep going. I was there 2 february's ago and there was chest deep powder in back woods areas. Base was 3m.

I'm doing my first trip Dec. 11 down to Revelstoke. Its going to be on the sled though, not the board.

I went to Jackson Hole last year for spring break. It was pretty awesome and I got a good deal going through my buddies ski club at his college. The resort is sweet, nice facilities, I think two restaurant/bars on the way up the mountain and then one at the top and another one at the bottom. http://www.jacksonhole.com/

I'm off from the 20th of Dec until ----- depending on whether or not I have a new job by then or not. If I have to stay in this shthole then I won't have a passport as I think it will need to be renewed along with my work visa over xmas/new years.

Otherwise, I'm down for whatever LJ!!

And ya, kicking horse is pretty badass. Simon and I could probably grab a couple sleds too play around on in the mountains as well. I'm dealing on a couple almost new gems right now.......;):thumb::happy2:

Let me know if you hook some sleds up. I got lots of trips planned this year, its always a good time to have some extra people come along. First trip is planned for Dec 12 to Revy.

Silverstar is the hill I learned to ski on when I was 3 years old. But by my standards today it is the worst hill in the league. No backcountry skiing. The trees are too tight to ride through. And if your on a snowboard, be prepared for a minimum 5 minute walk off the top of every lift and lots of walking half way down runs.

I generally like to hit areas where foreigners don't ride and snowplow all the snow off the hill and ice it up. Silverstar has none of these.

Big White is great, I love it there. Sun Peaks is fun too. Sunshine is great. Nobody mentioned Lake Louise yet... that place is MASSIVE and also a great time. What about Fernie/Kimberly and Panorama??? There are a ton of awesome ski locations.

Check out the Sunshine website though, that village has pretty wicked nightlife sometimes.

Sun Peaks is nice, Fernie is awesome. Kicking Horse is pretty BA also.

I hate LL. Too windy and cold and steep!! And I don't like Big White either-it either is fogged in or windy!!

Working on a trail sled right now but can't find any good deals on mountain sleds.

Ya, big white get a gnarly cross wind. Especially if your back on the eagle or falcon chair... the ricketty old double that is strung 100 feet above the trees!

There is decent deals on new sleds around christmas time. I bought my 08 Rev XP 154 in Dec 08 for 10,000... with tax, a gas caddy, oil, belts, spark plugs and some other BS it came to 10,700. I thought it was a decent deal.

That is not bad at all. I've ben looking at a couple 08 and 09 used Dragons. Around the 7- 8000 mark.

We'll see.....
