Ok, i KNOW there was a thread on the chinese FPR's for our shit boxes but my searching skills are failing me, if you find it ill send you a cookie

Anyhow, i remember guys asking about the 20-30 dollar chinese FPR's if they were any good and obviously we all agree they most likely are junk. That said, the FPR on my second CP3 is sticking and i need a new one. Ebay has "genuine bosch" FPR's for 50 bucks. it looks just like a factory bosch, are the chinese getting that good at disguising them suckers? im half tempted to buy it and just carry my sticky one with me cause its all of a 10 min change but at the same time i dont feel like dealing with issues :roflmao: who knows if the POS will come apart and trash the pump some how too.

Are there some tell tale signs besides price? theres gotta be something

I've bought a few genuine bosch FCAs off ebay, and they looked legit to me when I got them in my hand. They had all the right markings on the body and everything. I bought LBZ ones instead of LLY, and they were closer to $100. Never had any issues with them either.

The sticker looks legit but if they can fake the regulator you know they can do the sticker to:rofl:

That’s what I was worried about. They already make walbro pumps that you can’t tell the difference between a USA pump or Chinese and something else I remember them doing too

I ordered a Bosch fpr from Amazon for an lbz, $114 plus shipping. Sold directly by Bosch.

How did it hold up? I had a cheap 20 something one bad out of the box.

Have had a couple local customers that had same issue. Tried to fix it themselves with Ebay ones. Made issues worse so they brought truck to us. We only buy from authorized Bosch dealers.

Have to be real careful now days. They are doing the same with cummins and lly injectors. Same boxes and everything. Also acdelco ebay glow plugs that are half price are knock offs.

Similar experience with the cheap "Garrett" vane position sensor. Garage right out of the box. It's increasingly difficult to find replacement parts that are not made offshore.

Is there a price cutoff thats likely a knockoff? I see $20-40 ones, $100-200 ones from the online diesel shops, then $250-400 ones that look legitimate.

Are the $100 ones like josh mentioned the way to go?

By the way I found bulk shipment of 1000+ for $1 each straight from china, no wonder they are everywhere online for 20-30 bucks

that 50 dollar one is still going strong. its actually in my buddies truck now since i ordered the wrong FPR off amazon. it was on my second pump so easy to yank out.

i went through 3 more FPR's from amazon (from injectors direct on amazon) thinking they were the cause of my surge on my truck. after the 3rd one, i started looking elsewhere and found my dual fueler controller is shitting the bed. the 75-100 dollar ones on amazon seem to be decent. the return program is certainly nice lol

i agree with everyone else, its becoming extremely hard to find factory equipment that isnt a knock off. damn chinese are getting goooood :roflmao:

i tried this exact $40 LBZ one that I put on a used lbz pump to put in my LB7, the regulator lasted exactly 9 months. Truck has a lift pump and all new filters as it should, replaced with one from LDS and no issues since.

Side note- these have the bosch stampings on them, although after speaking to a few knowledgeable people, these serial numbers do not represent an actual bosch product. Although their numbering system is very similar. I give the chinses a 9.5/10 on trying to copy it, had to doc em 0.5 because it only lasted a year:roflmao:
