Says it doesnt... curious how they got around it with the new increased output?
Around here, the dealers are telling evryone with a failure that it was abused. Warranty voided.
Oh... I was answering the question above yours (usually I'm good about quoting lol)... I was saying it says they dont use urea, and I was curious how they got away without using it with their new increased output....
What is Selective Catalytic Reduction ? Is that fancy talk for DPF?
Also, I don't get the original post. In one part it says available 390hp and then in another part of it says 350hp. Did I miss read something there??
It will be interesting when they actually run it side-by-side against the Duramax. Ford already got ass-pounded by the LML. Will Dodge as well? My guess is yes.
Why? Chevy has a legacy of under-rating their powerplants compared to other MFR's. At the brochure, Ford has 400HP/800TQ, to the Chevy's meager 397HP/765TQ. But when it was time to whup out the measuring stick, Ford's excuse was, "It shrinks when I'm cold!!" For Chevy the weather was fine.
Next up Dodge. Get the excuses ready Goat Boys.
SCR = technical term/name for urea injection.

Best guess is that they derate through the ECM to protect the trans in the lower gears.
