That's a big kitty. I saw one here several years ago. Saw it twice the same year about 20 years ago and later that fall a friend of mine hunting saw or actually heard it when he was walking out of the woods with his bow.

That, my friend, is why my pistol is always drawn on the way in the woods and out of the woods, whether I am bow hunting or using a rifle.

Interesting...

I got the same picture texted to me...text said it was taken in Bradford PA...is that close to Hustontown?

I don't doubt they are around, in fact there supposedly was one spotted crossing the road about 5 miles from me on Monday.

I got the same text a couple weeks ago. I can beleive there are Montian lions in Pa. But I have a problem with that pic. Look at the Antlers. There is no velvet on them. Deer around here will still have some velvet right know. A couple of week ago they would have been covered. That pic can not be new.

I had some things that didn't add up also when I received the text, but didn't bring it up...besides the velvet comment, the deer's coat is a winter coat (they are still in a summer coat here), the ground cover is off (too barren), and the feeder is a tripod-style feeder (not very common where baiting is illegal).

Since we're sharing trailcam pictures, I thought some might get a kick out of this...

This pic was taken by my camera on our property in '06 (actually three in the sequence )...the boar was harvested that bear season and weighed 660lbs...the resulting little ones are still around.

I dunno Johnboy its tough to say. Today id say most have rubbed the velvet off. Around the mid to end of august here they started rubbing everything up from what I can tell by scouting around the woods.

I have had the worse luck this year had a nice non typical walk up sunday morning by far the biggest buck I have ever had a shot at with a bow he walked up to 20 yards and just come to a complete stop and went to stompping, I thought o lord what is going on and my coon hound had followed me to my stand and was just 100 yards away headed right for me, and so I thought now or never I raised up drew my bow and released the arrow the buck jumped as I shot I hit the deer in the neck and the arrow angled back into his off shoulder, he ran off with the arrow sticking out of him and i thought to myself i got him he wont go far waited 30 to 45 min got down started following blood, followed blood for about 400 yards then the trail went dry I have looked for the deer all week with no luck at finding him im so sick it aint even funny.
