been there done that. not fun. watch out for the o-rings on the lower intake manifold and also watch out for the ones on the thermostat housing. 25 bucks a pop for the ones on the lower manifold, and there's 2.

I had pics with it all pulled apart but i don't know where they are.

IIRC- This is the mod that has the little SOB torx on the backside of the CP3... if so try a 8 or 10 mm box end wrench with the torx bit tack welded into the box end.

Good luck!!

OOO!!! I only remove the top coolant crossover pipe (the metal one going to the thermostat housing). But then again I made a special little tool to get to them. Yea. Thats a 1/4" drive.

they are really not at all that bad....

drain coolant
remove black pipe to thermostat housing
remove intake piece that goes into intake inlet (crossover)
remove the intake inlet into the crossover
remove rubber hose to cp3
remove the 3 FPR bolts

real straight forward explanation but when you get down to it you will see. Of course i left out some things that need to be pulled in order to remove the above stated pieces... but these are the major objectives...

Well it was not the regulator.

The fuel heater stays on all the time.

I need to find out what commands it, because it always has power to it to keep it on, even when truck is off.
