Ceramic coating

Thinkin about getting manifolds and up pipes ceramic coated.. Does this do as good of job as heat wrapping.. Is it worth the money??

more for looks and rust prevention IMO. if your looking to hold heat in the blankets or wrap is the way to go.

same with my kodiak manifolds. i just use VHT rattle can paint on my housings once a year now and that holds up fine. hell of a lot cheaper to. :thumb:

Ceramic Coating does a good job. Ceramic Coating + wrapping does a better job. Header wraps are a breeding ground for rust and corrosion since they retain moisture. So if you plan to wrap your manifolds or pipes I recommend you Ceramic Coat them first.

Note: any Ceramic Coating on hot side turbo components needs to be done with 2000F+ material. Bright Ceramics / Jet Hot coating is NOT rated for turbo temps as you can see below.....

X3 here. and VHT the wrap lol.
and T6 wrapped any electrical or rubber fuel/water hoses near hot bits.
