CEL running rough

My dad was driving his truck(2018 gmc 2500hd) last week on the interstate and it went into limp mode and gave him a CEL. I pulled the codes this morning and the codes I got were P0305 and P0205. I know those are cylinder 5 misfire and cylinder 5 Injector voltage out of range.

Anyone have input or guidance?

L5Ps are known to have problems with their injector connectors. Buy a new pigtale (or 2, or 3) and replace the one that is causing problems. Best to solder the new connectors in place. Several Youtube videos to show you exactly how to do this.

Don’t just buy a dealer one, get one from fish tuning. Far better connector that stops the issue.

Thank yall for the input and advice. My dad took it to the dealership in town last Monday and just got it back today. Frin what my dad told me, the tech who worked on it replaced the Injector harness and it cost him $900.

Thank you James. I was told they Replaced the full Injector harness so we will see if it comes back
