In my opinion, removing the clamp is the best solution.

If you run two batteries, it does almost nothing. If you don't run a pass side battery, a couple zip ties are all you need to hold the cables up and out of the way.

For those wondering, this is about the worst-case scenario if that hose ruptures while driving.

Note that this happened unloaded. Melted pistons, blown headgaskets, heads destroyed. Only parts that were good enough to use in the rebuild were the crank and the cam.

Mine had no damage. When I first got the truck I notice it and turned the clamp toward the engine bay. I forgot i did that. Couple days ago I just removed the clamp.
