cat oil filter

Does anyone know if there is a cat filter that will work for the oil filter on our trucks? I'd really like to run a cat as the price and quality can't be beat. I already run a cat fuel filter and would like to switch the oil filter to a cat unit as well. thanks

You can run a Donaldson oil filter which is part #P550518. Donaldson makes alot of Cat's filters.

Donaldson's fuel filter is #P550833

Have you looked into a cat oil filter already? I have been meaning to check but the truck sits so much that it has been on the bottom of the list...

I already run the 0749, if a CAT oil filter was decently priced and had as good/better specs than GM/Napa then I'd be interested.

this is what I use. I found ten filters for ten bucks each so I should be set for a while.

thanks, I'll check on them. I know donaldson makes a good filter. I just like the idea of having cat filters. They're good enough for the big diesels so they should be good enough for my little diesel

Wrong thread for Cat filters... But I have been thinking I can make a cat filter work with my Oil cooler adapter. I was going to play around with it this week end.

Nothing special about cat filters, made by donaldson.

No. Donaldson makes the filters to Cats specs. When I worked for Cat every fuel filter element said donaldson right on it. Same with their air filters.

Same with their engine oil. They have a spec that they want to use, valvoline and mobil-1 make the oil to their spec. It's just outsourced.
