Does not having the water seperator concern anyone else? I have the adaptor and filter sitting on work bench but I dont like that part. I know donalson makes a filter with water seperator but I like how easy and cheap the cat filter is.

when was the last time you saw your water in fuel light?? just saying

Have I had the light come on? no. I have had water come out of the drain thought? Yes. here and there. When I had my 7.3 I got into some bad fuel in kc that had to drain housing 3 times.

the Donaldson filter is about the same price as the cat filter. maybe couple $ more. the hard part is finding them local.

i also have the adapter and cat filter sitting in the garage. not sure about using the cat filter with no water separation.

im runnning a BF7587 (baldwin verson of same filter) with a BF1259 w/f sep in series..

OTR truck run a 25k service intervale at 5mpg thats ~5000 gallons of fuel used.. im looking at a 60-75k service life on my hotshot truck i will let you knoe next summer '13 time frame ;)
