Cast or log RDL headers and up-pipes

I have the LML drivers manifolds and tow flow up-pipes. I am wanting to upgrade to a compound set-up and add more fuel, but cannot decide on weather to go cast or log? Truck is just a DD, and use it on the interstate alot, but I want more...this thing is reliable and a blast but is a my main source of transportation. Please advise; RDL is having a 10% off sale; just want to take advantage of the situation.

Cast for sure. Don't see the point in log headers.

I tried multiple set of log headers and had issues with them warping and blowing gaskets. I have cast manifolds now and no issues.

I'm running RDL's cast manifolds with a Wehril Custom Fab twins setup ( Jordan at Wehril is top-notch). Wishing I had gone with Rick's log manifolds. Wrap the manifolds whichever you decide on, also get RDL gaskets. Using Levi's turbo/up-pipe blankets. Rick is great to work with and will answer all your questions without selling you things you don't need. My 01 LB7 is a DD.

Finally getting around to installing this setup. I also added all of Levi's blankets for the manifolds, up-pipes & turbo.

Finally finished that install. Now need to get the sump done, move the lift pump location.

What a difference the manifolds and blankets have made. The fit and finish of these components were spot on. I have noticed that when accelerating that turbo screams like never before; it's almost annoying. And the throttle response has definitely increased. Once I get my wagon hooked back up, I can give an idea about the EGT's.

I've also installed a G&R sump and relocated my lift pump. Simple install and nice finish of all the parts.
