Casper needs some type of stack for sure. I am really not a fan of dropped vehicles espically a 4wd. I want to drop snowflake and give her the mean Clean look. But i still have not decided rather she will be used for pulling or drag racing. To bad i couldnt do both:eek:

how much back spaceing do you need ?

If I could find a couple of 18x8.5 or 18x9 rims with 25mm or greater offset (positive offset), it would save me some money and let me go faster.

Here's the problem, the tires I have are 32.5" dia 18" tires. They won't clear the wheel wells with the truck lowered. They have about 10mm offset. I can get more offset with 17" or 20" rims, but can't find tires that are as tall.

I will have a similiar problem up front if I want to lower it using drop spindles: I will have to change rims to 17" or larger, and can't find suitable small diameter tires to use.

The truck was lowered by notching the frame, beefing it up, then flipping the leafs.

I mentioned in another thread Casper looks like a low rider with hydraulics ready to start hopping

Hopefully we will find the right drop spindles for the front end soon. Sorry indoor pic is crappy :(

Edit- Little white cars should not pull to close behind like yesterday.:badidea: A car got between us yesterday when I was following Pat back to the shop

Hey Kat you might find what you need for the front end on these links, This is the kit om going to use on my truck and try 18" or 20" wheels and nitto tires,
PDF file shows what front looks like

Bet your wishing you stuck with the 1st casper with 2wd. Probably wouldnt be that hard to lose the front axle & transfer case.

The 2wd and 4x4 trucks are identical up front. Just pull the axles and diff out, and you are 2wd.

It's alot safer and easier to drag race in 4x4, so we will keep it 4x4 for now.

looks good. have you looked into billet wheels, Intro Wheels can make them in any offset you want. also what about a 22" wheel, as long as the tires have the speed rating you need you can get them in a varity of sizes. and w/an offset like mine +20 6" bs, they will tuck w/o rubbing. have you changed out the keys yet? the mcgaughys keys will get you another 1-2" in the front. you would just need to change the tranny x member if you haven't already.
