McRat Racing is actively seeking sponsors of all kinds for the 2012 race season.
If your company would like to get some marketing exposure from the only known "Triple Threat" pickup truck (Drag Race, Sled Pull, and Land Speed Racing victories) that has been in several magazine articles, Diesel Power Challenge, and displayed at the NHRA Museum, now is the time to get on board.
We are not looking for charity. We are believe that our sponsors get increased sales based on their participation with our racing. Examples would be PPE, Inglewood Trans, SoCal Diesel, Garrett, and others.
Casper has been a group effort by the Duramax race community, and has been a development platform for many different modifications that are now on the shelves of your favorite diesel hotrod shop. So not only does Casper generate direct cash register profits, it also increases size of the diesel hotrod market.
I know this sounds like pimping, but each trip to Bonneville cost big bucks (6 figures one year) and we end up limiting our racing due to logistics. We need 3 engines (have 2 1/2), 2 trans (have 1), transportation, pit assist (takes a minimum of 3 people by the rule restrictions), tires, more safety equip, etc, etc.
Our needs boil down to this order:
1) Tech support. Information is worth more than money.
2) Parts. We need to have a spare for everything that can break.
3) Logistics. Pit crew, and getting our stuff to the track is critical.
4) Communications. Pictures, exposure, web presence, all help drum up support.
5) Oddly enough, money is nice, but isn't high on the priority list. Items 1-4 aren't necessarily things you can buy with money.
This year at Bonneville, we are competing against a truck sponsored by Ford Motorsports. We can't beat them with a fat wallet. 1-4 will give us the edge.
Last, thanks out to ALL youse guys and dolls for all your help in the last 8 years of our diesel racing (we were racing/sledding Blue in 2004). I want 2012 to be the "special year".
