T&T Welding in Norco made up a custom "hidden hitch" for Casper.

Seems to be well triangulated, I guess we will find out the 14th.

I'll have to check what brand the rollpan is. It was about $90 online.

Yes, I still have to go buy a foldup plate mount.

To raise the suspension, I'm first going to try airbags. My truck wasn't really "lowered", I just pulled out all but 2 leafs. I'd like to leave it that way if possible.

I like to lower my truck like you did yours with springs out, but here they wont let you run air bags so im screwed there.

On another note, I wouldn't use airbags to lift the rear. It would get real bouncy in a hurry.

What about airbags to get it up there then adjustable stops to hold it?

Not sure.

A spring is a spring, whether it's fiberglass (Corvette), steel leaf, steel coil, compressed gas (nitrogen charged shocks), etc.

Yes, I have heard this before. But bouncing is due to the spring rate over-powering the shock absorber dampening. I'm going to have the same spring rate as stock, except 50% will be air, and 50% will be factory leaf. I'm not using airbags to "lift" the truck, which is creating a spring rate higher than stock, but rather to put the truck back to the factory ride height/preload.

More shock dampening might be the trick to reduce bounce.

rules around here suck must have atleast 1 or 2" of travel not air bags lines must be un hooked and no blocking

1" of travel here. airbags can be used but if an onboard compressor is installed it must be disconnected.

Hitch looks good, only problem i see with airbags, if you air them up enough to keep the suspension from squating it will raise up the rear end, they raised the rear of my truck up about an inch with just 10psi in them, and i could defenatly see where that would get bouncy, i just took them out.

Air Bags

I run airbags with no problems at all. I think pat is correct with the spring rates versus the shock rate. Mine is also lowered and I raise mine about 6" with air and it oulls just fine. It surprised me how little it would squat with 100 psi in the bags. Jeff
