Oh this is great. Everytime I run my truck through the automatic carwash, the operation of the turbo vane gets lazy and less responsive. After about an hour and a few miles of driving things go back to normal. My air filter is not getting drenched but possibly slighty misted. Anyone have any ideas?

try going in the carwash with both headlights in.

i dont think it has anything to do with the vane sensor. maybe the maf sensor get moisture on it. the maf sensor is pretty sensitive and will screw around with the trucks performance

Thanks Joe that's what I was leaning toward. Just trying to see if anyone else had a similar experience. I've tried shutting the truck off with no better luck. What pid could i log while at the carwash to see what is going on with the maf readings? Thanks for any more input.

Sorry bud but, black trucks (that get driven daily) need washed daily, especially in ohio during the winter (fn salt ). I do hand wash my truck at least twice a month but don't always have the time :D. Thanks for the brilliant suggestion though :thumb:. Anywayz I have recently concluded that the water was hitting the air filter because when the airbox was modded i pulled the splash shield out from behind the headlight so water was spraying between headlight and running light. Apparently thats why it was put there . Just thought I would follow up so another thread wasn't left hanging without an ending :hello:.
