Can't figure out this code

So I've been fighting this code for a few months but I have no clue why its popping up. Its P0103 which is a MAF circuit high code. I seem to only get it when I really drive my truck hard. I got it today when I was on Robs race tune and floored it about a 1/4 mile from home.

Any suggestions where to look? I've cleaned my MAF sensor multiple times and I've even swapped my MAF with another one off of an LLY. I have no clue what else to look for.

I have the Kennedy airbox mod on the stock intake with the LBZ mouth piece . I'm fairly certain my filter is a k&n filter. Not sure if its dry or oiled. It came on the truck. I have stock turbo stock injectors . dsp5 built tranny tuning by Idaho rob. Deleted egr etc..... I'm on my phone so sorry for the typos

If you get the s&b intake use Teflon tape on all the Phillips head screws. Except tje maf screws. I have lost screws and found screws in the skid plate from them coming loose.

Do you thing simply replacing the intake would solve this? And ensuring the filter is dry of course and not oiled? What even causes a "high voltage " or "high circuit" condition to happen ?

I run a oiled filter. No problems here. As long as you apply the right amount of oil on the filter you should be fine.

Well I run the s&b filter. But when I first got the truck it had a k&n intake with a oils filter and I never had a problem...... So I don't know. Cal Atp and tell them what's going on. Maybe they can adjust something in the tune

Yeah that's what I was thinking I'd do. I'm not sure whether or not the code actually limits anything or if its just a code that notifys you like a softcode

Sounds like you already need the MAF rescaled. Definitely give Rob a call and ask him what he can do to help.

Ill give him a call but I dont understand why I would already need it scaled if it's just the stock air box and the mouthpiece is the only part thats different

P0103 means the actual electrical signal at the ECM is going above 4.5v or "high", which is higher than the actual limits of the MAF sensor. This almost always means you have a broken wire somewhere. Sounds like you may have a poor connection or a wire that is about to break completely.

You shouldn't need it re-scaled at all with stock intake unless you are pulling some serious airflow.

I was hoping you'd say the oiled filter is the problem lol. This code drives me crazy.

Nope. I run an oiled filter too.

May not need to replace the wire. Trace it from the sensor back and see if it rubbed through anywhere. If it did, isolate it.

Also you can check for continuity from sensor to ecm

I'll have to take a look at the wire and see how congested it is back to the ECM.

Does this code limit anything performance wise? Like lead to de-fueling or anything like that to limit horsepower?
