Help: Canadian truck to SoCal HELP

Hey guys hoping you guys can help me im moving to SoCal and I have a 05 2500 duramax (Canadian specs) 270***KM its fully stock (a real shame) except suspension (CST 9-11, 37" tires) can you tell me anything i would need to know? emissions? out of country? registering? insurance? (clean record) i have about a month to decide weather i should sell and buy there or bring it?

any help is great help!

considering it is 100% stock minus the lift, passing the emissions test will be no problem whatsoever. so basically you would be good to go, enjoy California :D

ive never brought a vehicle across the border, but being from california, i can tell they are probably gonna be dicks when it comes time to register it, call the california hwy patrol and ask.... there are a ton of trucks for sale out here, stock, lifted moded,new,used, u name it, they are easy to find..good luck, where in CA are u moving to?

a 2005 Canadian vs. US sold truck should be identical except for the gauge cluster

thanks guys and i will try and contact hwy for more info!, haha thats an off topic question maybe you guys could help with too my office is in Torrance CA, bring the wife and the New born and our lil guy too. where would you suggest in the south (commuite in mind)

most of torrance is a nice area if u are looking for a place..my shop is in gardena, (neighbors torrance). u can look any where from palos verdes to gardena area and u will be close to your office ,and u wont have much traffic to deal with.. Check out So.Cal Diesel trucks .com we have meets and events all the time..

Many lifts are illegal in the US. There are laws in many (most?) states that dictate the height of the headlights, and the height of the exhaust exit.

It's not enforced heavily, but it happens.

I had a friend who got a ticket for his headlights to high from the ground but it is very rare at least up by me.
