But to answer the original question:
No you can't just bolt a big compressor on a small exhaust housing and expect it to work. A stock VVT exhaust wheel and housing would be way to small to drive a GT45 compressor and even with the vanes all the way open couldn't flow enough air out if it did spool the compressor. Then you still have the fact that the cartridge of a VVT is not made to take the GT45 compressor housing, the shaft sizes are different, and in the stock location I doubt a GT45 compressor housing would even fit that low in the valley.
