Can a 2wd trans be easily converted into a 4wd?

I know some transmissions are pretty easy by swapping over the tail housing and making them into a 4wd.

Are the Allison's this way?

I may found a nice 2009 6 speed trans with only 16,000 miles on it but its 2wd.

I'm guessing since its an 09 and a LMM it should have the same bellhousing as the LBZ?

Your '09 Allison will not have a provision for the input speed sensor that the LBZ needs.

Yeah if you put a solid axle under it. It would be the easiest.

I think he means then I can get a speed reading from the abs sensors.
