Will being one tooth off on cam gear (86/360=4*) retarded cause any issue's with starting/running?

Advancing would give you less clearance, retarding gives you more on the intake side. Had to retard to gain proper clearance, All clearances are Good once retarded 4*(one tooth). All else is by the book.

However engine will not start, fresh build. No codes cam or crank related, but pulse width is a a steady 3000 even when not cranking, also no smoke or whit puffs, injectors are not fireing. RP is fine, EFI data is showing injectors are trying to fire, but PW is through the roof, way above commanded.

Will run on eather for moment, then dies.

Im questioning the cam /crank sync....

?

Did you accidentally switch the cam/crank senders?

Ether is a big no-no on a Dmax.

No,there the same one's i used before, but also im not getting any cam or crank related codes...i am getting a MAF and Boost sensor code though.... wonder if that would cause a no start???

Just the injectors wont fire

I had a similer issue when i finished my build, everything checked out but no fuel past the injector. Turned out to be a relay in the underhood fuse box that wasnt fully seated. Worth a check, i always try the simplest things first.

pulse width is 3000??

or fuel pressure is 3000??

if you fuel pressure is 3000 that is not high enough to start. you need a minimum of 5000 iirc.

i would make sure your injector nozzles are no leaking.... if you replaced nozzles did you make sure that all the little shims the size of pin heads went back into place

1500psi is all you need to start it.

once started, they will still actually run (barely) all the way down to 1100psi or so before stalling.

double checked last night PW is stuck at 3000+ and RP goes up to between 11-28k, depending on how long i crank it

there is no way the CP3 can make 28,000 psi when it is only turning 150-200rpm...

i think i have a log of my buddies truck that got to 25k before i stopped crankin. he had a loose reluctor ring on the crank so injectors were not opening. its not fast but you can watch it rise and rise
