i drove from SD to huntington today during thwe worst of it and it was terrible, dodging cars from side to side, and my wide tires love to hydroplain:happy2:

had a dodge with a huge chrome stack run with me fo a bit though, that was kinda exciting in the rain.

Wow.... lots of rain today, seemed like buckets at times. All the freeways I was on were crawling (15-35 mph) - listened to the news regarding flooding and accidents from the down pour and tornado watch in Orange County. Best to stay home if at all possible. There is also lots of concern regarding muddy water coming into home in the recent burn areas of the foothills around La Canada and Flintridge areas. I don't live near there but still sad to hear. Thanks for asking about our situation over here :)

So I need to have Chains with me ?? But don't matter if they fit ??

Yep, just have a set of chains...they don't look at the size if you're 4x4. I have lived in Redlands area for 20 years and have never had to put chains on any 4x4 when it snowed. I remember in the mid 90's it snowed in Yucaipa and I drove up the mountain around 6pm to play in the snow. CHP asked for chains, asked if I was sure I wanted to go up, then let me on my way. You are only required to carry chains not put them on. I know they say on the news you need them but I have not seen it in 20 years.

If they required me to put them on my truck I would put them on drive around the bend then take them off.

Also, not sure your size tires, but I got chains for 35's for $95 bucks. They are not top of line, their chains, but they fit and will do the job if I HAVE to put them on. I can get you info if you like. I am not associated with anyone, a friend got them for me, but I can get the info and pass it on if you like.

Rain is fun.... about the only time I can make 9000lbs drift at a 100 mph. :D

I think the idiots that cant drive are pretty much west coast in general. People here forget which pedal is the go pedal the second there's water on the road.

At your girlfriends house
People that cant drive in rain or snow should stay home!

How hard is it?

I kinda like the challenge, But people going 5 mph just cause accidents.

No shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!!!!!!!!!!! I LOOOOOVE driving in bad weather. Good reason to take the truck sideways and give people a heart attack! Lol.

Its surprising how big of a deal is created when an area that is not prepared is hit with some bad weather.

For most northerners snow and rain doesn't cause too many issues. I rarely use my 4x4 on the highway and I've never used chains. The only reason I use 4x4 around town is to accelerate faster:D

I'm guessing most of the hype is caused by people who aren't used to it and have no idea how to deal with it?
