Went and did a bit of logging this morning with a new tune I blew in. I calculated my 0-60 times (not accounting for RT) by just watching the timer and when i clicked from 0-1 and 59-60. Now.. is there a way to log milage at all or some other way I can judge when 1/4 mile has been travelled to get a somewhat close 1/4 time?

Go to dashboard "B" on your log and if you have the VSS active you can look at the time of the log in the lower right hand corner at 0 mph and the again at 60 mph and see how long it took you to get there. I'm not really sure how accurate that would be, I would imagine that you will have to have the correct tire size dialed in at the very least.

Uhh.... thats what I said I did do

Im looking to find out how to do 1/4 mile.

:sorry: Maybe pick a speed "say 98 mph" and see how much time has elapsed from 0 - 98 mph in your log, maybe the time would be say 13.4 seconds, now go look at the timeslips tab and see if 98 mph is a valid 13.4 sec. 1/4 mile time. This is in no way going to be real accurate, but it could give you a good idea :D

Or you could by a G-Tech :joker:

Haha.... it was just a tow tune that was sort of weak (well, thought it was gonna be weak! ) and it spun thru 3rd, hit 122 mph *cough* closed down testing area of course *cough* and made some serious power!. I wasnt even thinking about 0-60 times when i was logging so I didnt do anything more than a 2wd hammer from a stop, no boosted launch or anything, but that was 6.294 seconds. I figure with some more tuning, 4x4 and some boost that could be decreased dramatically :) Oh ya - a visit to Mike L haha.

You could do by exporting the data to Excel then accumulating distance. It won't work if you are spinning your tires though.

Time new - time old = seconds
Current MPH / 3600 = miles per second

Seconds * Miles per second = miles traveled.

When the sum gets to .250, you have travelled 1/4 mi, and subtract the first time from the last.

OK.... next question. Does anyone know of any "personal" 1/4 mile timers for sale? (not gtech or something like that) Not like a full track system, but something with a tree or just 2 beam sensors that you set 1/4 mile apart and it times. I have access to paved private strip, just some way to time it. Would be kinda cool to have my own personal 1/4 mile strip per se :)

One of the PIDs is a g-force meter. Could that be used in some way with the truck's weight, acceleration, and time to get a 1/4 mile time? That is what the G-tec uses.
