Do a little research concerning the rear axle. IIRC (not sure), there may have been issues with the rear axle like there were with the first LSx GTO's.

Otherwise, I'd get the early model, better value and hellavu corner carver.

06-07's Have the stronger Diff.. Axle's are the weak link in those, But I'm pretty sure there are beefier options on axles.

BTW the 04-05 Diff's are very prone to failure on a hard launch.

If your gonna leave it stock get the LS2, if your gonna mod it get the one that is less expensive. LS engines are SOOOOO easy to make power with.

X2, That's why I chose an 06'

I'm leaning towards an 06 but my wallet will be the eventual decision maker. This will be a daily driver that may see exhaust, tune and intake only.

It will never see the track.

:spit: I had trouble even typing that last part.:D

I'd LOVE to have a white or silver one with black leather int, manual trans, mild cam & tuning, & whatever else to get the best mpg possible. They are dead sexy & just badass family sedan. Too cool IMO.

A buddy of mine a blue 05 as a work car, he's a lawyer and travels a bit. He promised he'll sell it to me when it hits 200k for 2 grand. It's in the 190s now, so it should easily be this year. I guess we'll see.

Pretty much what I'm doing with mine averages 20mpg too:D. They're some deals out there depending on what your budget is.

Well you were all wrong . I gave up on finding a reasonably priced CTS V with the miles I wanted so I opted for an 08 G8 GT.:thumb:
